E. Hazal TÜRKYILMAZ BİLGİÇ

In 2012, she graduated from the Department of Architecture at Middle East Technical University (METU) as the top of her class. In the same year, with her graduation project, she received the Jury Special Award at the Archiprix Turkey competition and, in 2013, took part in the international exhibition held in the Netherlands as an invited participant of Archiprix International. She completed her master’s degree in 2019 at METU Architecture with her thesis titled Understanding the Transformative Power of the Phenomenon of Consumption on Architecture and the City through the Case of Atakule. She continued her academic studies by taking courses in the PhD program at METU Architecture.

After graduation, she pursued her professional career in various architecture and real estate investment companies. During this period, she actively took part in the development of real estate projects at different scales, architectural competition organizations, preparation of architectural concept and implementation projects, interior design and implementation, as well as project coordination and construction process management, while also providing project consultancy.

In 2023, she founded the design and implementation office EHT Architecture. Under EHT Architecture, she develops and implements various projects, primarily in the fields of residential, educational, and mixed-use buildings.

In addition to her architectural practice, since 2023 she has been working as a part-time lecturer at METU Architecture, where she co-leads a 4th-year architectural design studio group. Her research interests include architectural design, architectural criticism, housing, and the relationship between consumer culture and architecture.
